Objective: To produce a short documentary film to visually inform the public about the USAID ‘Breakthrough to Literacy’ program in Africa. The goal was to air this film through out the continent so that more countries adopt the program.
“Breakthrough To Literacy” shows a new innovative teaching method, which was recently implemented in Ghana. Breakthrough To Literacy is about educating kids in primary school in their local language when they are in level P1. They will then transfer to English in level 2 easier because the sounds they use in their local language are the same they will use in English.
